6th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Research and Education with the theme “Embracing the Culture of Research and Aligning Inquiry with Contemporary Global Challenges”, ETCOR Awa
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Since its founding, ETCOR Educational Research Center – Philippines (ETCOR Philippines) remains steadfast in its mission to help researchers embrace the culture of research through free lectures, coaching, and mentoring. What began as advocacy projects such as Project SAGIP MANANALIKSIK (For Everyone and One-on-One) expands into full-scale international conferences, drawing educators, researchers, and professionals from diverse disciplines. The year 2020 marks the beginning of this journey, as ETCOR pilots its first research conference in collaboration with local and national partners, setting the tone for what becomes a growing global tradition.
In 2021, ETCOR takes another significant step by formally institutionalizing its “Series of International Research Capability-Building Seminar-Workshop cum International Research Conference.” This hybrid model of academic exchange combines training with scholarly presentations, ensuring that participants are not only sharing findings but also strengthening their research competencies. The initiative attracts participants from various institutions across the Philippines and abroad, reaffirming ETCOR’s reputation for inclusive and quality-driven educational advocacy.
The momentum continued in 2022 with the launch of ETCOR Educational Research Center’s 1st International Multidisciplinary Virtual Research Conference, held on June 24–26. This pioneering event marked a significant milestone in the institution’s mission to promote global research collaboration, organized in partnership with the Philippine Nurses Association–Hail Region Chapter (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), the Mirwais Neeka Institute of Higher Education (Afghanistan), and Mabalacat City College (Philippines).
In preparation for the conference, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed between Mabalacat City College (MCC) and the ETCOR Educational Research Center, solidifying their shared commitment to academic excellence and international engagement. The MOA was signed by Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, President of MCC; Dr. Melanie Viloria-Briones, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Research and Extension; Mr. Aaron Carl V. Tejano from the MCC Center for Research and Development; and Dr. Richard D. Sanchez, Head Research Consultant of ETCOR. Separate Memorandum of Agreements were also signed by representatives from international institutions - the Philippine Nurses Association–Hail Region Chapter (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), and the Mirwais Neeka Institute of Higher Education (Afghanistan).
Serving as conference leaders were Dr. Julie S. Berame of Caraga State University, Butuan City (Conference Chairperson); Dr. Bahrullah Safi of the Mirwais Neeka Institute of Higher Education, Afghanistan (Conference Co-Chairperson and signatory); Dr. Melanie Viloria-Briones of MCC (Conference Co-Chairperson); Dr. Jordan H. Llego, iJOINED Editor-in-Chief and President of the Philippine Nurses Association–Hail Region Chapter, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Conference Co-Chairperson and signatory); Dr. Adrian Lawrence P. Carvajal, National Consultant for Research Publications and Trainings; and Dr. Ace C. Lagman, National Deputy Consultant for Research Publications and Trainings.
Beyond advancing research culture, the conference embodied ETCOR’s advocacy for social responsibility through its chosen beneficiary — the Bahay Pag-ibig Home for the Aged in Barangay Telabastagan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Bahay Pag-ibig serves as a sanctuary for elderly men and women, offering them care, compassion, and dignity in their twilight years. To support this cause, the waived discounts and proceeds from conference participants across ETCOR and its partner institutions were donated to Bahay Pag-ibig. This initiative not only strengthened ETCOR’s culture of research and collaboration but also extended compassion and humanitarian service to those most in need, especially during the height of the pandemic.
This collective endeavor stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of ETCOR, Mabalacat City College, the Philippine Nurses Association–Hail Region Chapter, and the Mirwais Neeka Institute of Higher Education in fostering a culture of research, collaboration, and compassion — bridging academic excellence with community upliftment across borders.
Later that same year, ETCOR forges new ties with Vivekananda Global University–Jaipur (India) for its 2nd International Multidisciplinary Virtual Research Conference. These gatherings, held under themes addressing the “new normal,” showcase ETCOR’s ability to expand its global reach even in challenging times.
By 2023, ETCOR fully establishes itself as a hub for accessible and collaborative research engagement. The 3rd International Conference carries forward its vision of integrating international and local expertise, offering participation for consultants, students, and partner institutions. Its projects benefit not just academic circles but also ETCOR’s advocacies under the Office for Humanitarian Affairs and Organizational Advocacy, creating a strong link between research and service to society.
The years 2024 and 2025 further mark ETCOR’s international footprint. In 2024, the 4th and 5th International Conferences solidify its tradition of combining paper presentations, workshops, book launches, and awards nights, celebrating both scholarly excellence and humanitarian contributions.
This November 6–8, 2025, ETCOR Educational Research Center proudly stages the 6th International Multidisciplinary Conference on Research and Education at the Prince Palace Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. With the theme “Embracing the Culture of Research and Aligning Inquiry with Contemporary Global Challenges,” the event brings together a vibrant network of educators, researchers, and professionals from across the world for three days of meaningful engagement, collaboration, and intellectual exchange. The conference features paper presentations, book launching ceremonies, and the prestigious ETCOR Awards Night, honoring individuals and institutions that exemplify excellence in education, research, and humanitarian advocacy.
A major highlight of this year’s international gathering is the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Partnership Signing between ETCOR Educational Research Center (Philippines) and the Samarth Group of Institutions (India). Held on May 23, 2025, in Pampanga, Philippines, this milestone formalized a five-year partnershipthat designates Samarth Group of Institutions to lead ETCOR’s international trainings, conferences, and paper presentations in India and neighboring regions. This collaboration strengthens ETCOR’s global academic network and reinforces its commitment to promoting international research synergy, innovation, and educational leadership.
Further enriching the Bangkok conference experience, participants will take part in an academic school tour at Assumption College Thonburi, Bang Phai, Bang Khae, Bangkok, Thailand. This on-site educational visit is designed to equip participants with global perspectives, foster cross-cultural understanding, and allow them to “see the world with their own eyes”—witnessing firsthand the educational practices and environments that inspire academic excellence beyond borders.
Through these initiatives, ETCOR continues to champion the culture of research and global collaboration—empowering scholars and educators to connect, create, and contribute to addressing contemporary challenges in education and beyond.
What begins in 2020 as a small but determined initiative now stands as a world-class conference series with an ever-expanding international presence. ETCOR’s journey from its pioneering local seminars to this year’s prestigious gathering in Bangkok reflects not just organizational growth but also a testament to its unwavering core values of service, excellence, and integrity. Through these annual conferences, ETCOR continues to live up to its vision of creating a community that searches for truth through research, fostering a culture where academic inquiry ultimately serves society and the Almighty.
